We've all, most likely, permeated Oppositelock from Jalopnik. Though have any of you reached out to any of the other main Gawker blogs?
You can vote for more than one.

Jalop and Deadspin.

I actually discovered Jalopnik from Gizmodo. Deadspin and Jalopnik are two of my most visited sites, and I browse Gawker and sometime Jezebel regularly.

Who ever voted for jezebel is either joking or horribly lost.

Since the grey curtain fell, I only comment on Jalopnik.

I don't really read Jezebel, but I just go there to soak up all the feminist hate. Their rage at the world fuels me.

Jezebel is a decent site.

Why?

I did visit Gizmodo regularly but no more. Last night, 8 of the 10 newest posts were shares from Sploid, not Gizmodo content.

I read the shit out of Jalopnik, but the writing on Deadspin makes it worth a visit occasionally. They're hilarious over there. As a sports fan, I get tired of ESPN and their bullshit. At the end of the day, they're all reporting on sports, the personal drama they can't shut up about on Sports Center needs to stop.

Not my taste/ I'm just joking you can read what you want.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:11 |

I've noticed that too. Do you know what that's happening?
Are they trying to convert something?
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:13 |

Yes because it's impossible to like cars and read a website about women.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:14 |

I frequent Jalopnik and Kotaku, but occasionally visit Gizmodo, not visiting as much as I used to. They're killing themselves with Sploid.

Man, I just took a big ol' Gawker survey a couple of weeks ago. (Woohoo, $55!)

I said it wasn't my taste and you can read what you want because I certainly don't care.

I read all, though I'm not-so-secretly a big Jezebel fan. Some great talent there.

I used to read all of them more frequently than now. When Jalopnik had info on the bottom of the page I used to read them a lot more frequently. But I do enjoy 109, giz, jez and dspin from time to time.

I read and occasionally contribute to cink.hu, Gawker's Hungarian site. Interestingly - since Gawker was first incorporated in Hungary - cink.hu was created as a testing platform to Kinja. If you go to the site, Kinja 1.2 has been live for about a week or two now. The commenting system is way different, too. Something you may experience here later on.

Deadspin never fails to entertain me.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:32 |

Wait, there's other gawker sites? Why would anybody go there? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I check out Lifehacker, but I ignore the rest and I don't DARE go near Gizmodo and Jezebel
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:37 |

Agreed. The writing is usually very good, and there is a lot of happily anti-ESPN stuff on there.
The commenters and commenting are somewhat of a nightmare, but that could also be said about the Jalopnik FP from time to time.

Jezebel isn't even feminist hate, it's angry 10th grade girl hate. It's the type of BS I have to put up with with some females I know. Guys are the root of all evil, we could do fine without guys, but if something goes wrong then the first thing they look for is a guy to fix it.
Guys can do no right, and never will, and are only there for their bidding. That type of attitude is so fucking putrid, and it commits women to a cycle of helplessness and anger. I promised myself to raise my daughter to know that women can do whatever they want, and that all of us in the world are in this thing together, so why not work together.
Jezebel doesn't believe any of that.

Jalopnik. Period.

Kotaku is cool, they have a wide range of gaming preferences. Giz is pretty Apple focused, but the tech stuff is interesting. Only other one is lifehacker occasionally, they have some neat diy
![]() 02/15/2014 at 17:46 |

I agree, calling them feminists is giving them too much credit. The amount of vitriol that spews forth from some of them is amazing. If Gawker had a male site exactly like theirs, the writers/commenter would be flayed alive by every other blog/media outlet around.

I daily Kotaku and Jalopnik, and that's what I voted for. I often find myself on io9 by accident, though, so if this keeps up I may just start daily viewing that.

It's a pun orgy over there.
It's great.

I guess that's the reason why I don't get Deadspin. I'm not really much of a stick and ball sports kind of guy so I would only watch ESPN for the Nationwide Series races. Ever since I stopped watching NASCAR last year, I can safely say that I haven't even flipped past it trying to get to another channel in at least 9 months. It's kind of hard to understand Deadspin's hatred for ESPN if the only bit of ESPN you've seen has been at 3x normal speed fast-forwarding through the commercials.

I didn't, but I'd read Jez over most of the other Gawker sites. That place is just pure comedy. It's not even click-bait: it's clique-bait.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 19:41 |

What about Sploid & Truck Yeah? I spend more time on them than any others besides Oppo.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 19:49 |

They are still not considered in the main set of blogs (per the drop down list), so I did not include them
![]() 02/15/2014 at 19:51 |

Deadspin and Lifehacker get the least views from me, Jalopnik and I09 the most followed by Gizmodo and Kotaku then Gawker and Jezebel.
![]() 02/15/2014 at 19:52 |
|
All of them... except Lifehacker. I do read it on occasion, but it's not in my usual rotation. I'm not sure why, either.
If I had to rank them by frequency (posting frequency in parentheses):
Jalopnik (1)
Deadspin (4 - tie)
Gizmodo (4 - tie)
Gawker (2)
Jezebel (3)
io9 (5)
Kotaku (4)
Lifehacker (never, I think)
I guess I'm not much of a techie.
There you have it. Hundreds of pennies worth of market research for free!

Sploid and Gizmodo. Because cool.

Jalopnik, then occasionally io9 and kotaku.

I think they are trying to get the people who go to Gizmodo for Sploid-like posts to start checking Sploid instead, but it's just strangling Gizmodo.

I use Kotaku & Jalopnik.
The poll is run by a company called PollDaddy lol

I used to read Gawker a lot, but lately it's become nonstop THE WORLD IS HORRIBLE AND YOU DO EVERYTHING WRONG, FILTHY PEASANT

It's not a site about women: it's a site about being offended.

I LOVE Gawker and I'm not afraid to admit it. Their recent story on Shia Labeouf's "art exhibition" cracked me up.
